Installing MMS

Installing MMS

The OpenSolaris OS provides a repository for installation packages.
Search the list of packages for the current release for the following packages and install them in the following order:

  1. SUNWmmsu
  2. SUNWmmsr

After you install the MMS packages, the components reside in the following locations:

Location Used By
/usr/lib/mmsmm MM server
/usr/lib/mmsdm Device manager
/usr/lib/mmslm Library manager
/usr/lib/mmswcr Watcher
/usr/lib/mms Directory of libraries
/usr/bin Management commands: mmsinit, mmsadm, mmsclient, mmsexplorer
/var/log/mms Trace logs
